This was taken in Skagway - Grand Princess

I cruised on Princess Cruises - Grand Princess ship, Voyage of the Glaciers Northbound July 15-22, 2023. This sailed from Vancouver, BC, Canada to Whittier, Alaska. The ship terminal was very easy to get to in Vancouver. There are many hotels located nearby that you can walk from or a quick taxi ride will get you there. We departed on a Saturday. Our ports were Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, scenic cruising Glacier Bay National Park, and scenic cruising College Fjord. Our cruise ended on a Saturday. With only one sea day with smooth sailing, it was really ideal.

Scenic cruising ports are slow cruising and the ship turning to give all sides of the ship beautiful views of the surrounding glaciers. A park ranger comes onboard the ship upon entering the area. The ranger will speak about what you're seeing and help you find sealife in the water.

The food options at each of the ports are really good. Fresh seafood if you like it is available in nearly every restaurant.

The Princess excursions were really good and easy to get to by provided transportation for the excursions we chose.

The medallion is what you use to get into your room, on/off the ship, bar purchases. You can order from the medallion app.

I highly recommend Princess Cruises for Alaska cruising. The crew is exceptional. The ship was in great condition for being the oldest in the fleet as of this writing (August 2023).
